The Humbler

I have a love/hate relationship with magnifying mirrors. I love that they show my eyebrows so close making my task much easier. The flip side, however, is that is also magnifies every imperfection I have on my face 8 times larger than I would like to see. My first thought is always, "Wow, do I really look like this?" or "Peter, why didn't you tell me about this thing on my face!" Its like someone upgraded your reflection and you are now viewing yourself on a 70 inch plasma screen in HD. My blemishes are now the size of a donuts....sweet. I guess the good news is that everyone is not subjected to this view of my face...or maybe I'm the only person that subjects myself to this humbling experience.
